Delbert Alvarado, PK/Punter

Delbert Alvarado played collegiately at the University of South Florida from 2006-2009. He averaged 40.6 yards per punt during the 2009 regular season. Eleven punts of 50-plus yards and 10 downed inside the 20-yard line. Long of 57 yards against Florida State. Best single game average of 45.4 against Pitt. 114 straight punts without a block. Started the season as the team’s field goal kicker and handled kickoffs during first two games of the year. Finishes his career with an average of 40.3 yards per punt on 174 total punts. Ranks third all-time in scoring with 169 points. Played in 48 career games, one of the best marks ever at USF. Was 91-93 all-time in PATs, the best percentage of any USF kicker. Delbert has kicked professionally for the Dallas Cowboys (2010), Virginia Destroyers (2011-12), Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2013) and Montreal Alouettes (2013). Delbert resigned with Montreal in 2014. He was released at the end of training camp. In 2015, Delbert won the field goal duties with the Ottawa RedBlacks and went 11 of 13 with one block, his last kick being the game winner over defending champion Calgary.
